Crew Notes:
- 1Lt Arthur G. Carpenter (P) - Flew mission #155 as Copilot with the Lt
Edwin Assenheimer crew. Flew mission #207 as a combat orientation Pilot with the Lt Clinton A. Moser crew. Other thirty-three missions as his crew's 1st Pilot.
- 2Lt Joseph C. Whitaker (CP) - Dispatched on twenty-nine 1Lt Carpenter crew
missions. Substitute CoPilots used on two missions (168 & 176. 2Lt
Whitaker also flew on two missions with other Pilots (203 & 221)
- 2Lt George E. Reid (N) - Dispatched on thirty-one 1Lt Carpenter crew
missions. Substitute Navigators used on two missions (193 & 197). 2Lt Reid also flew on 4
missions with other Pilots (172, 203, 212, 221)
- 1Lt Deane K. Day (B) - Dispatched on thirty-one 1Lt Carpenter crew missions.

Vanlandingham (WG) and S/Sgt Dal Bee Nichols (TG) - Dispatched on all of the
thirty-three 1Lt Carpenter crew missions. Each flew two additional
missions with other Pilots; T/Sgt Fordham (226, 229), T/Sgt Bortolotti (172,
220), S/Sgt Vanlandingham (224, 226), S/Sgt Nichols (230 , 233).
- Sgt William P. Edmund, Jr. (WG) - Flew on four 1Lt Carpenter crew missions
(157, 158, 159, 160). The second Waist Gunner crew position was deleted and
Sgt Edmund flew no additional 303rd BG(H) missions.
- Sgt Wellington W. Mikulski (BTG) - Flew no missions with the 1Lt Carpenter
crew or 303rd BG(H). Was an original member of the Lt Carpenter Crew, but was taken off of flight
status and made a part of the ground crew of B-17G #42-97284 Ain't Miss Behaven
(359BS) BN-C. Substitute Ball Turret Gunners used on all
missions: Sgt Raymond N. Dean (from Lt John N. Savage Crew) - Nine missions (158, 159, 160, 161, 162, 165, 168, 169 & 170): Sgt John R. Welch (from Douglas C. Van Weelden crew) - Seventeen missions
(182, 183, 184, 185, 189, 190, 191, 193, 194(A), 196(A), 197, 198, 199, 204, 205, 206, 210); Four other Ball Turret Gunners on seven missions (157, 171, 174, 175, 176, 177, 180).
