B-17G 44-6504 (No Name) 360BS (PU-M) - Mission #260 to Mannheim, Germany: Cpl Harvey N. Kaber, last minute replacement on the Lt Joe B. Arwood Crew, was adjusting his guns on the Ball Turret of B-17G 44-6517. The guns accidentally discharged hitting #44-6504. The wing was set on fire and damaged.
