Upon return to Molesworth, Capt
Edwards buzzed the control tower. It caused the 41st CBW Commanding Officer, B/Gen
Robert F. Travis, his brother Col
William L. Travis and others to dive into the soft, runny tar-paper roof in their officer uniform "pinks." He blew out the tires when he landed with the brakes locked due to the shook-up CoPilot's neglect to release the brakes. Capt
Edwards subsequently received a severe reprimand and a tire bill for $200.
