January 25th    

January 25, 1943
8th AF: VIII Fighter Command Circus 255: 17 Spitfire Mk Vs of the 4th Fighter Group escort RAF Bostons on uneventful Circus 255. Circus is a large number of fighters escorting a small number of bombers in an attempt to get the Luftwaffe to respond.

January 25, 1945
303rd BG: Major Glynn F. Shumake was named Commanding Officer of the 358th Bomb Squadron, replacing Major George T. Mackin. Major Louis M. Schulstad became Group Operations Officer, replacing Major Shumake.

January 25, 1945
STRATEGIC OPERATIONS 8th AF: 111 of 121 P-51s based in Belgium fly a sweep over wide areas of SW Germany, claiming 2 Luftwaffe fighters NE of Mannheim and E of Kirrlach; 1 P-51 is lost.
