303rd Bomb Group (H) History

October 29, 1944
303rd BG: LtCol William S. Raper was appointed the Commanding Officer of the 303rd BG (H). Col Raper was one of the original 303rd BG pilots at Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho. He later change his name to Rader. He replaced Col Kermit D. Stevens. While on leave, Col Stevens was transferred to the Second Air Force B-29 training base.
