303rd BG: Six 303rd BG aircraft participated in an air-sea rescue. Two search areas were reached and searched, but no dinghies or enemy activity were observed. The search altitude was from 100 to 300 feet.

STRATEGIC OPERATIONS 8th AF: Mission 372: 4 of 4 B-17s drop leaflets in The Netherlands without loss. P-38s participate in 2 sweep over The Netherlands for familiarization purposes without loss; 1 sweep consists of 30 aircraft, the second consists of 28 aircraft.

STRATEGIC OPERATIONS 8th AF: HQ 398th Bombardment Group (Heavy) and 600th, 601st, 602nd and 603rd Bombardment Squadrons (Heavy) begin a movement from Nuthampstead, England to the US with B-17s.
